Ahead of the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, DCD Publishing DVD announces that it has acquired the UK DVD rights for award winning popular Children’s’ series and dinosaur brand Dino Dan from Breakthrough Entertainment.
Launched in 2010, CGI/live action series Dino Dan was the most watched debut on Nick Jr. in the US, and is now playing globally across 90 countries including recently ITV in the UK, where it has performed strongly.
Dino Dan has been licensed for DVD and achieved strong sales across many territories including the US, Canada, Australia, with US sales exceeding $1million revenue at retail in 2012. 250,000 DVDs have sold in less than 7 months in the US market alone.
The entire Dino Dan franchise which include 26×30 minutes and 52 x11 minute series will be packaged in a series of 5 DVD titles to be released over the next 12 months.

The award winning popular TV series follows the adventures of paleontologist-in-training Dan Henderson and his friends, as he uncovers clues about the past and secrets of the dinosaurs. The show combines live action with amazing CGI dinosaurs.
Produced by award-winning producer Sinking Ship Entertainment and distributed globally by Breakthrough Entertainment, the series airs on ITV’s children’s channel, CITV, and Season 2 (additional 52×11) is planning to launch later this year. Licensing company DCD Publishing represents the brand in the UK for licensing and merchandising.
