Mitchell Beazley (part of the Octopus Publishing Group) has commissioned the first book from juicing expert, Kara Rosen, founder of the PLENISH juice brand.
The book PLENISH: A Juicing Guide for Modern-Day Moans will be published at £12.99 in January 2015. Octopus Publishing Director Stephanie Jackson acquired world rights from Kara Rosen’s agent, Adrian Sington at DCD.
Former Condé Nast New Yorker Kara Rosen launched PLENISH in 2012 with the aim of making organic, cold pressed juices available and accessible to everyone. PLENISH juices are available online and in Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, Daylesford, Liberty, Planet Organic, Ocado and beyond. In the book, Kara will explain how to make over 40 juice blends, detox with a cleanse programme, heal your body naturally, fuel your system, fight disease, promote mind and body wellness, and lose weight in the process.
PLENISH juices have been recommended by Vogue, Daily Mail, Time Out, Psychologies, Grazia, The Times, The Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday YOU, GQ, Health & Fitness, Harper’s Baazar, Women’s Health, Sunday Telegraph Stella, Stylist, Women’s Fitness and ES Magazine. Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop.com calls them “the best we’ve tried across the Pond” and “London’s best juice cleanse”.
Stephanie Jackson said of the acquisition “You are what you eat, and consuming fresh, raw juices is a delicious way to flood your body with nutrients, cleanse your system and cure your ills. Juicing is more popular than ever before, and now is the perfect time for a new publishing brand to reinvigorate the genre with a fresh approach that’s already received rave reviews.”
